Kitchen Remodel Ideas

Posted by on Feb 28, 2013 in Blog

Here is a new Kitchen Remodeling idea from “Merillat” Cabinetry.

In the last couple years, more clients have asked for white painted cabinetry.  “Merillat” Classic line has a color called “Chiffon” which by itself is white, but if your put it against the color white, it does appear “cream” in color.  To get the “White” clients would upgrade to the Merillat Masterpiece Line – UNTIL NOW.. Merillat now has the color “Cotton” in their Classic Line.  This is a long overdue welcome change and I look forward to installing in future kitchens.

Wyandotte Bungalow Bathroom Remodel – White

Posted by on Feb 19, 2013 in Blog

As most bungalow houses, bathrooms are can be on the smaller side.   This house was built in the 30’s and our client wanted to update but keep the feel of the home.  We were able to give them a space with modern materials (Quartz counters, Spray shower arm, all new plumbing fixtures) and were still able to keep the integrity of the home.

Hall Closet 1st floor

In the hallway, we were able to fabricate new doors and drawer fronts to match cabinetry in bathroom.

Vanity Area 2nd Floor

This is a small sitting area that is just outside the bathroom.  We installed a new counter –  Cambria Quartz, color: Whitney to the existing cabinetry and added two new lights – now a perfect area to get ready.

Kitchen Remodel

Here is a kitchen from Designer Louis Brooks.  This white kitchen is anything but boring.  The splashes of Aqua through-out the space adds interest with a “calming” feel.

The corbels on the side of the island dress-up ordinary cabinetry.  This mimics the curve in the range area.

Once again, the use of corbels make the glass and base cabinet appear to be a piece of furniture.  Using trim and moldings can turn ordinary cabinetry into something more unique.  Look at the ceiling – the moldings extend from the cabinetry.  These subtle details to a monochromatic space gives that interest needed to keep it from stark and boring.
